BeOne is a global, commercial-stage, research-based biotechnology company that specializes in the cancer therapeutics. The Global Statistics and Data Science (GSDS) department includes statistics, programming, data management, operational excellence functions. We provide statistical support to all drug development phases including preclinical discovery, translational research, clinical development, post approval and manufacturing. There are about 70+ statisticians at all levels in the team, located in Shanghai, Beijing, US and Europe. Statistics for translational science is a team within the statistics function of GSDS supporting clinical biomarker-driven exploratory research and development of companion diagnosis. Your role: Currently our team is looking for an intern for an AI-copilot app development to support clinical research projects using genetic and genomic data. The daily work will focus on building domain-specific knowledge base and to evaluate the performance of the AI copilot under the supervision of the project manager and senior app developers. We expect the intern would have good understanding of the clinical research projects and statistics methodologies, and would be able to develop and apply large language model (LLM) to the project. Requirements: 1. Current undergraduate or postgraduate student in Statistics, Biostatistics, Computer Science, Information science or a related field. 2. Proficiency in programming languages R and Python is a must. Basic knowledge in R Shiny framework and web application development. 3. Previous exposure in AI technology, fundamental machine learning or natural language processing is a plus. 4. Excellent communication skills and team spirit, with the initiative to solve problems proactively.
