THE ROLE We invite you to apply for this exciting CAE analysis intern position at Tesla! The successful candidate will work with the world-class analysis engineers in the industry and get your hands on the most advanced simulation tools to support the engineering development of our next-generation products. RESPONSIBILITIES • Complete the training materials and ramp up your learning curve quickly to get familiar with Tesla CAE tools/procedures. • Build the crash/durability/CFD CAE models from the ground up independently to solve the problems from the real world. • Design and carry out tests to correlate your models. • Deliver and present your analysis results with the global analysis team. REQUIREMENTS MUST • Master and PhD Candidates are preferred but rock-star undergraduates will be considered. • Major in mechanical/automotive engineering or material science preferred. • Strong engineering fundamentals and outstanding problem-solving skills with an interest in analytical and numerical techniques. • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others on problems that are unusual or difficult. • Demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex test scenarios with good logic and analysis, root-causing and resolving correlation issues. • English speaking proficiency. PREFERRED • Credits in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) courses or experience with FEA software, such as Abaqus/Nastran/Ansys/LS-Dyna.
