The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Electromagnetic Analysis and Modeling Intern to join our R&D team in Tesla Shanghai. As an Electromagnetic Analysis and Modeling Intern, you will play a crucial role in the EM design, validation and simulation. The candidate expected to have a good understanding on electromagnetic and RF. The EM simulation and modeling skills are highly appreciated.
Responsibilities:
· Simplify and meshing the model of the vehicles or components.
· Perform EMC and RF simulation for the vehicles and components.
· EMC testing for vehicle and component level test in-house.
· Collaborate with design teams in all phases of electronic product development for EMC&RF, including prototype, verification and validation.
· Review, analyze, and interpret EMC&RF test results.
· Testing with EMC&RF equipment, such as spectrum analyzer, vector network analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscopes…
· Communicate accordingly to cross functional teams.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree or above, majored in Electrical Engineering, master’s degree with a specialization in Electromagnetics is preferred.
· Solid technical depth in advanced Electromagnetics, deep knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and circuit reading.
· Skilled in using simulation software, experienced in using at least one of CST, HFSS, ADS, FEKO.
· Willing to learn new technologies and able to work in fast-paced environment.
· Proven cross-functional collaboration.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred:
· Ability to independently complete simulation model simplification and mesh generation. Experienced in using EM mesh modeling software, such as one of Hypermesh, ANSA, Abaqus, NASTRAN…
