THE ROLE
We are hiring a Mechanical Engineering Intern for our Reliability and Test team. You will support test activities on products from component, system to vehicle level for Tesla new product development.
We are interested in students with all majors, including but not limited to mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science. A minimum 6 months staying with us is preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Support engineers to execute test tasks and maintain test documentation.
• Support Test setup, interference with equipment like power supply, chambers, benches.
• Develop inhouse/custom test equipment, like fixture, harness and so on.
• Collaborate with design, quality and manufacturing to manage test programs from concept to final commissioning.
• Support lab operation to maintain schedules, allocation of test resources.
• Support failure investigation in post phases.
• Write test software to automate test execution, data process and analyze.
REQUIREMENTS
MUST
• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering
• Educational understanding of Electrical & Electronics, Thermodynamics, CAE, Measurement, Instrumentation, Power Electronic, Electric Powertrain, Mechanical & Automation.
• Experience with object-oriented coding language.
• Comfort with CAD software.
• Comfort with circuit design software.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
PREFERRED
• Hands-on ability would be preferred.
• Automotive knowledge would be preferred.
